Vote Michael Barje for Councilor Gurum "A" Ward

https://sites.google.com/site/1micmediablogspotcom/When I was almost giving up on the intention of a lot of individuals wanting to be grassroots leaders or I'd say councillors, I met someone who shared his intentions with me that blew my mind away. After a long talk and reflecting on how we grew up together, seeing him show great skills of leadership , I'm confident that he will as he told me, incorporate the interests of the whole ward and will play that vital leadership role in creating and implementing the community’s vision, strategic direction and values. That day, he didn't talk about building bridges and flyovers, ( he understood his place) he spoke about good leadership. So, if you are asking for a leader that will fully participate in the decision-making of the Council and to represent the local community in that decision making, I'd want you to continue reading this piece and share it with your friends. If it's someone who will contribute to the strategic direction of the Council through the development and review of key strategic documents of the Council, including the Council Plan in performing these roles, convince someone to support this man I've had conversations with. To Observe principles of good governance most especially at the grassroots level and act with integrity, provide leadership in relation to the exercise of the various functions and responsibilities of the Council, participate in the responsible allocation of resources of Council through the annual budget, facilitate effective communication between the Council and the community, be someone who will adhere to moral standards of good conduct. You need to understand that your votes should go for someone who thinks in that direction. And I believe as he told me that It is high time people aspiring for the position of councillors understand that they will need to guide the development of local policies, set service standards and priorities, and monitor the performance of the Local Government Chairmen. Therefore, strategic planning for the whole ward and a sustainable future, determining the financial strategy and allocating resources via the council budget, representing tax payers and residents well, advocating on a broad range of issues, liaising community groups and the private sector, overseeing the management of community assets and projects, facilitating community participation, and being individuals who will be accountable for the stewardship of leadership at this level. I'm glad we had this conversation with you Michael Barje For having these thoughts and much more, I'd say...  You're the man!
